Plead guilty to dogfighting and was sentenced to 23 months in prison, would you go to a game holding up a sign showing your "support" for him on national TV?

Personally, I would be disgusted and embarassed to be sean wearing that jersey.

Sorry, it has nothing to do with forgiveness and peace it has to do with fans being more concerned with winning football games than they are with what is right. Would they be showing the same "support" if this had happened to a 3rd string nobody? uhhh NO

I couldn't agree more with Ashley. I'm a HUGE Colts fan and if Mr Manning had admitted to doing this, I would be first in line to burn my jersey.

I would never support anyone if they did that. If they found out Heath Miller was dogfighting, I'd burn my jersey.

This is a great question.

I totally agree with you. I would be ashamed to be seen wearing the jersey. The sad thing is that Michael Vick is just now starting to pay his debt to society. The people that believe he has already done that are sorely mistaken. He has a long way to go.

I doubt he will ever be allowed back in the league. It does not make for good PR. Anyone remember Raphael Septien? A great Kicker that played for the Cowboys in the early 80s. He was money, Mr. Automatic...couldn´t miss...but he was a child molester off the field. He "paid" his debt to society and the Broncos tried to sign him. He lasted about three weeks. The Bronco fans were throwing things at him on the field.

I understand there is a difference between a child molester and what Vick did, but my point is that many people will never forgive or forget.

What Michael Vick did was dead wrong. He made some awful mistakes and he has to pay for his consequences. I don't think anyone will argue that.(anyone with a working brain)
What I will argue though is:
The NFL isn't a classy league, if you haven't figured that out by now. I don't have any %'s or #'s, but I will be willing to bet that over 60% of the league has been guilty of one of or multiple of the following: Or if they haven't been caught, they are still doing:
DUI, assaulting their girlfriend/wife, drugs, murder or an accessory to a murder, adultry, and not supporting your own children. I'm sure there are many many other crimes that go on every single day that gets swept under the rug and nobody hears about only because of who they are.

I like the answer about Heath Miller, I'm a big fan of his, ha ha. But Michael Vick was a target from the start of this. He has bee a target for something criminal since he was a rookie. I would be embarassed to wear the jersey for him being dumb to lie again and come up hot on the drug test but I would still support him as a fan and he's not the only dog fighter criminal on the planet. So **** everyone who acts like they are surprised to see this type of stuff goin on and act like Vick is supposed to be some type of super saint.

if someone still supports him for what he has done then shame on them also..you cant just forgive, hell he wouldnt of quit doing what he did had he not been caught. i personaaly will NEVER,EVER support him or any team he plays on. if he plays again..the only people wearing or quote "supporting" him must also believe in dogfighting...he is nothing but a thug with money..his brother is also a thug..he had a full ride scholarship for football just like his brother and he had life by the hands..he blew it....no excuse for what he did..supporting him for something such as d.u.i. or something not as criminal would be fine, but watching dogs fight to death just for the money (which he did not need) is plain STUPID..i hope he becomes the best garbage man he could be...he will NOT get my support....

Kobe Bryant. Kobe is a brilliant participant with super skill, yet my favourite team happens to be the Celtics. each time the two certainly one of them meet, Kobe scores 40-50 Pt's. If Kobe performed for the different team (besides the Hawks or Spurs) i might probaly have his jersey remarkable in my closet.

A little quick to forgive if you ask me. Not only did he do all of the things he was accused of, but he lied to everyone, his team, coach, owner and the fans. Then he failed a drug test while waiting for sentencing. I don't know that he has learned his lesson yet, so why should I forgive him. He has shown no remorse for his actions.

I'm pretty sure if Brett Favre was ever guilty of such a thing I would find a new team to root for.

I would because he made a mistake and everyone is just showing that they forgive him and hope to see him again playing football. This is just a sign of forgiveness and peace.
