I agree is Ichasser. Get rid of Nortons as it is pure garbage, and a hugh resource hog. Finds very few viruses, an is unable to install a virus 100%. Causes more problems then it is worth.

Install Avast free home for personal use. You will get an excellent background scanner, on the hour auto. updates.

I agree with Ichasser. But I would also leave Norton alone as it creates more problems than it fixes. It also slows down your comp to a definite crawl. When you have installed all of your OS I would advise using AVG anti-virus and Spy-bot search and destroy. Both of these programmes are free and a lot better than Norton and AVG updates itself every day, which Norton does not do. Also I would advise installing Zonealarm firewall, this is also a free programme and is excellent. I use all these programmes and have never had a problem. Good luck to you and a Merry Christmas.

A destructive recovery normally results in your computer hard drive being reformatted and programs from the factory along with your operating system being reinstalled.

You need to let a recovery completely finish to get your operating system on the hard drive along with everything else from the factory. Then you can load whatever internet security you have such as Norton Antivirus.

You cannot do a partial recovery and expect anything to work properly.
