Because politicians don't have comparable wealth to people in business. There is no law against a politician disclosing their earnings (in fact, I think they are legally obliged to do so), but politicians don't earn a huge deal.
Often you'll find that a politician will earn MORE after they retire, via the public speaking circuit etc.

Politicians salary wise are well off but certainly doesnt put them among the elite rich. They have alot of fringe benefits that are paid for by the tax payers but dont count as income.
As another said, after they are out of politics then its time for the books, the book signing tours, the speaking engagements of all kinds. positions on the board of directors of companies. Then are set then.

Bcoz of hardwork Businessmen earn reputation.
In case of Politicians, we know how they earn n how they work.
Businessmen take decisions on their own & r responsible for that.
