I have to make a boardgame about a community. Can you give me some ideas or good parts from a game?

why don't you make a community where you have to find a job, buy a house, etc....
certain people in certain can get hired....or fired

There was an awful little collectible card game (CCG) called Sim City. It was based on the computer game and the gameplay revolves around where buildings are placed (zoning laws). Find out about the game here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/3052

Make a game about like things that happen in a community, like uh Uncle Stan has opened a new diner! You get shares or something.

Someones house burns down and you need to help them out. Give them 'eat at Stans free' cards. You might have a flat tire and lose a turn while you're changing it. Over near Stans you help someone pick up a pile of packages they dropped and get extra community help points. JUST USE YOUR IMAGINATION :-)
