You need some perspective.
Suppose we made a scale model of the universe where the distance from the earth to the sun is shrunk to one inch. Our whole solar system would fit inside a box about 3 yards wide. The distance to the *nearest* star would be over 4 miles! THe distance to the center of our galaxy would be about 25,000 miles away. The distance to the nearest other large galaxy would be about 8 times as far away as the moon (on this scale!).
There is no possible way that we can affect the universe in any significant way. We are a small speck on a small speck orbiting a small speck in a small speck. To think anything else is the height of egotism.

I debate whether or not Human Life is in fact the highest form of bacteria. I don't mean to be degrading but we have evolved on to this planet due to simple biological processes. Such like a bacteria would on a cut. It, like us, needs very specific environmental conditions. We are dependent on our host as they we are. It is possible that we could be the first of human life that is destine to spread through out the universe over time.
Religion would say we designed to be the best thing. Since that make me look good - I'll have to agree.

If I look up in the stars I never feel that we on earth are something very special, neither in the positive nor in the negative sense.
We are just a more or less ordinary, less-than-average world somewhere at the outer rim of a fairly unimportant galaxy.

I wouldn't say either. But I do look up at the stars and wonder what other "Earth's" there are out there. I would love to meet a new race of humans from another galaxy. It would be so amazing.

No. I have never done that. I am a poor peasant, concerned only with the day to day chores of gathering grain for my next meal.

Never thought of either two but I am amazed at the cosmos... Exploration would be great, explanation would be better!

I haven't thought anything like that but I do wish that we would have the ability to explore space.
