QED You have just proved it . You are being kind defending folk who are insulted then you get insulted yourself. I am with you on this. As my husband said to me " Not everyone will share your humour " You can please some of the people some of the time , but you can`t please all the people all of the time. God bless.

It depends what the question is. I always try to answer honestly and I have a sense of humour too but if a question is really offensive then I might give an answer that is perceived as being rude.
Edit: I just took a peek at your page and it says something about how you are very blunt and if people don't like it they can f' off. That's actually pretty rude. It may be how you feel but it's rude.

I know, right? People just try to ruin other people's fun. All I do is ignore them and put some humor into my own answer. P&S is all about asking silly questions and yet people come and reply with a rude answer.
Haha, I totally agree with you, dude!

The problem with written material...whether it's a question or a full e-mail letter... is that a lot of meaning can be lost by not having the ability to use body language and voice tonation to "give life" to what you're writing. So, jokes and humor often get misinterpreted or mistaken for "real questions" due to this reason.

Its easy to be a jerk when no one knows your name. The rude responder is probably someone of low intelligence anyway, you don't need to stress it cus they have to live with it. Meanwhile, do your part and always pick a best answer. I think people who post questions, even in jest, should do the solid and select a recipient of pointage. Oh, and keep having fun, it reduces the signs of aging.

It depends on the question .. if the Question comes across as honest .. I will try to answer with the respect the question deserves ,
HOWEVER if the question comes across as rude/insulting/arrogant etc .. my answer will reflect that ...
Humour is good though :D

Because we are sitting in front of a screen and other people who answer a honest question rudely wouldn't have the GUTS to do it in person. It's very sad.

This is because some people confuse humour with rudeness. Some jerks always believe that being rude is funny.
