The Commish destroyed all the evidence. I know you want to believe it never existed, but if that were the case, wouldn't New England have appealed the loss of a draft pick and the coach his 1/2 MILLION dollar fine? Plus Unabomber, er, coach never denied it, just that his "interpretation" of the rule was different from the rest of the league. If you truly believe the Pats are innocent, you probably believe O.J. never killed anyone, Barry Bonds never used roids and the moon landing was fake.

There is NO proof. Even if they didn't get rid of the video(s), which I think is a bit suspicious, what would it show. They were on their own sideline, shooting video of the other sideline and the clock. These same videos are allowed from just about anywhere else on the field, or in the stands, or the booth above the stadium. These videos are equivalent to someone standing on the sideline and taking down extensive notes on signs being sent in by the opposing team, and keeping track of what time of the game, and THEN looking a video later in the game or during the week. Videos of the game are shot all game long, and that is what the teams review during the week to see their mistakes and what have you, and to review when they play the same team again. Video taping from the sideline just makes it a hell of lot easier to get to the conclusions. It's not like they are in the opposing team's locker room prior to the game or during the week listening to their game plan, or actually stealing their game plan "book" for the game. Now, if the Pats did THAT, then that IS cheating. There doesn't have to be rules in place to know better than that. But when it comes to video taping from the sidelines, i'm going to tell alot of people that for some reason don't know or don't want to know or listen, but EVERY TEAM IN THE NFL was video taping on the sidelines as of last year. So, I guess EVERY team was cheating before! Why don't all of you doubters check into this fact before just saying "but they cheated". How did this "cheating" help the Pats win that game against the Jets, and the following 12 straight games? Please, someone be intelligent to atleast attempt to explain with detail, exactly how the video taping in the 1/2 half of the 1st quarter of the 1st game of the season helped the Pats win the 1st 13 games of the season!!! Please!!! Also, when ALL of the teams, and please look into this FACT, were video taping from the sidelines, wasn't the only advantage the Pats could have had was that they used the tapes more intelligently and used the info. to help win games, but teams like the Jets and 49ers lately, obviously didn't know what to do with these films. They probably played them at the Holidays for the family, like it was a Christmas special. Come on, get off the bandwagon of calling the Pats cheaters, and do some research before opening your mouth!!!!

Uh...They had a video camera on the opponent's sideline in week 1 (Jets)...Thats kind of against the rules...The NFL stopped the guy with the camera in the first quarter of the game...The NFL confiscated the tape and destroyed it...
As far as any "cheating" beyond the video in week 1, no...

Yes - they confessed for one thing. They turned over tapes (maybe only copies and kept the originals?) Read any paper or magazine from when they confessed and accepted a fine from the NFL.
They may win - but they can never escape being cheaters.
For those that say they broke the rules and made tapes but did not cheat - breaking rules is cheating. And saying it happened one game - then why did they turn over numerous tapes? They did it for years.

Can't show it to you, I don't have the video. But they did get caught on videotape cheating.
Bellicheck also admitted to it before there was much of an investigation (all they had was the tape and they hadn't gotten that far into the investigation to make sure he was cheating). The NFL said it had strong reason to believe an investigation was warranted, but had not yet said he definitely cheated; but then he admitted to it.

needless to say, Patriots followers are going to declare "the different group has taped different communities as a results of fact technologies grow to be invented!" unhappy excuse, if I do say so myself. i think of the Patriots could could see some result to their action. it is unacceptable habit and you merely can not excuse it. Belichick is a huge cheater and every physique who defends his habit is merely as undesirable as he's. i'm chuffed the Giants beat the Cheatriots, that is what they deserved! 18-one million*

There is no proof of cheating, at all.. there was a "rules violation" incident, which had absolutely no impact on the game, or any other game.
bwt.. it's "there" not "thir" or "their"

yeah there was proof but guess what, all teams try to get a hold of the other teams defensive signals. they got caught, paid their fines, and moved on.
