Clarence Mitchell has denied that the Tapas group got together to coordinate their versions of events and insisted that it was just "..a get together of friends who find themselves at the centre of a story." So that is what Madeleines disappearance is to them, " a story". I think that those are the truest words he has ever spoken. Poor Madeleine, just a story.
Incidently the meeting was held in the Rothley Court Hotel, built in the 11th Century by The Holy Order of Knights Templars.

My question is this, Don't you find Clarences description of Madeleines disappearance as just a story disturbing? and do you think Gerry is a mason or a Knights Templar.

I have found the McCann's behaviour bizarre since Maddy disappeared. Neither of their spin-meisters has helped in the finding of Maddy, but they were not recruited for that purpose, were they? Your point about Clarence's choice of words is excellent - after all he is a pressman, first and foremost.
It is repulsive to witness two grieving parents spending other people's money to pay their mortgage, to employ PR lizards and to swan around the world meeting celebrities. Then to ask to see our PM, however, ridiculous a figure he cuts, seems symptomatic of delusions of self-importance.

I very much doubt if RC Gerry is a Mason.

Maddy no longer seems to feature in the McCann's public utterances.... and Kate wants to becoma a child rearing advisor?
Whatever the truth of Maddy's disappearance, her parents have given a master-class in how not to find a missing child and how to make themselves objects of suspicion and contempt

Strange that ALL of the tapas 9 could make this dinner (I know what it's like trying to organise family parties! Strange that "advisers for the Rothley couple were present" as Clarence states. How many people normally take their "advisers" out to private dinners with their friends? "Story" is probably a good definition, although perhaps the word "fictional" should precede it.

Masons link? I've heard this before and have been unable to comment, until something happened the other day. I was in our local (which is a hotel bar) and the McCann "mystery" came up in conversation. A few people were saying that nobody in their right mind would have left the kids alone when my neighbour, who is head (or leader or chief - sorry I don't know the correct term) of the local lodge leapt to their defence. He was quite heated about it and insisted that it was perfectly alright and no different than leaving kids asleep in a bedroom in the hotel annex and dining in the restaurant. Our arguments that most people either eat earlier with their children or use a baby listener and that the rooms and outer doors are locked were just met with fierce objections from him. I have never seen this normally placid man so agitated and heated over any subject. "Me thinks he doth protest too much"! Makes me wonder.....

I would love to know how much Mitchell is being paid. He has nothing to do with finding Maddie but is trying to cover the backs of the McCanns and their cronies. He is not doing a very good job and has exposed himself for what he is and that is a spin doctor. The amount of other peoples' money the McCanns have spent is unbelievable and to what end? Still no where near finding their daughter. They have their PR team, spokespeople and even their own forensic team obviously carefully selected to counter any information released by the official forensic team. What about the private investigators? Did they not say a few weeks ago that they were close to finding Maddie? They have suddenly gone very quiet. It is rumoured they are being paid £750,000 on a six month contract. At the end of the day they will come up with nothing. Of course the meeting is to make sure all of the Tapas group get a briefing as to what to say if they are reinterviewed. Some of them have clearly told lies and have selected memories.

Everybody forgot already that the name who should be on the news, newspapers, TV, etc... should be MADELEINE.
McJeckyll and McHide it's all about themselves when was the last time that they've mentioned the name of their own DAUGHTER, oh no what for, let's get together with our friends and have more good time for the old times sake what now 14 bottles might not be enough let's have it big style make it 20 and we agree something in the morning (or afternoon after the hangover) to tell the police so we all say the same FOR ONCE.
Just remember that higher you are bigger is the fall.
McJeckyll & McHide are selfish people who just don't deserve inocent children to trust them as parents (if they know the meaning of the word), that people in Portugal who gave money to their pockets, sorry "Fund", did care more about Madeleine than her own "parents" yeah the same ones that on SKY were against them.
McJeckyll & McHide forget your selfish lifestyle with other people's money and do something that we can see, about Madeleine or children in the same situation, unfortunately I have to believe that she's dead.
Sorry, just thinking about an inocent little girl.
Have a star.

They smile because they truly think their 'story' is believed! and all safe and secure in their lying world. I can't believe how incredibly 'dim' they are? This I believe will be their downfall, anyone can be educated but that doesn't make you intelligent and these fools think they are home an dry. How they are being allowed to do what they are doing is criminal and I truly hope the PJ have them all weighed up and are biding their time for two of the vilest people History will have encountered, cronies included.. They say a dog returns to its own vomit, so hopefully it's just a matter of time... McTickTock...

If this was just a friendly get together then why were the lawyers invited. Pull the other one Clazza. I reckon Clazza knows the real truth about what happened that night in PDL.
I'd be interested in knowing who "leaked " this hotel get together to the press, and why ?
Apparently On one of the interviews given by The Mcs there was the Triangle (symbol of the Freemasons ) clearly visible in the background. The Mcs are certainly being protected by someone.
I wonder who paid for this hotel.... the Fund maybe ?

Hi Trance,

Story indeed! Do they really think anyone is going to believe a word they say? Clarrie already explained it perfectly and his words are unnerving, how can people be this cold and uncaring. Well no doubt they have got their sordid little tale all sorted out with one another enjoying I wonder how many bottles of wine to celebrate their success so far... They chill me to the bone... AS for angry Gerry, I wouldn't be surprised at all in whatever dodgy and sinister activities he was part of... Let's just hope that one of his so called friends decide to tell the truth one day and justice will be served... They don't deserve children...

Edit: Well said Tim..

It's a shame that they view this incident as 'a story' how can a person even think this way when it's an innocent and defenceless child at stake?. I do not care what Clarence say the meeting was about I believe they all met to review their version of events on may 3.

as clarence says if they wanted to corroborate their story in this day of internet and e-mails.....sorry clarrie, aren't the tapas nine under surveillance and i am sure their phones etc are still tapped.

i am not sure if gerry is either a mason or knights templar whichever he maybe i am thankful i am not in his seat right now.

Yes, he probably is.
Did you see/read the Da Vinci Code? Apparently those types get/got up to all kinds of SWINGER stuff too.
I won`t be popular for this, but I have always thought the whole group, ( plus people in high places ) are those kind of people & they sure as hell don`t want that to come out.
Just my opinion.

I have the same opinion as you, all they talk about is money and defend kate and gerry no matter the cost. Sad. But, if it was a "normal" meeting, to show support for the mccanns, how come they didnt invite other friends; of course that they could have done this ages ago, and Im sure they have one way or the other, but when you are making a story, is important to repeat it many times so you dont forget it.

Oh, leave them to it. If they did anything they will have to live with it for the rest of their lives. If some shady group they are involved with did something, likewise. Their are plenty of normal genuine parents whose children go missing, so give money and time to them. These people are a circus/. It doesn't matter what group they belong to. They met the Pope. If they conned him, then, literally, God help them.
