I would recommend the film "Less Than Zero", based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis. For many teens that go away to college, something changes when they "come home" for the holidays. It's just not the same, because they have changed and their childhood friends have changed. Harley Peyton's screenplay, directed by Marek Kanievska, and starring Andrew McCarthy, Robert Downey, Jr. and Jamie Gertz, captures the enigmatic dissociative feeling of loss and sadness. Although these are a bunch of rich kids portrayed on screen, the emotions, emptiness and feelings of being Clay, the character that returns from college, is dead on.

Close runner ups are the classic comedy "Back to School" starring Rodney Dangerfield, and another decent adaptation of a Bret Easton Ellis novel, "Rules of Attraction".

Try Good Boy Bad Boy starring Tushar Kapoor, Emran Hashmi and Tanushree Datta. Its not brilliant cinema, but it is a good depiction of college life and teens.

I just watched "Urban Legend". I don't think it's best but the setting was in some college... It's a horror movie.
