if ever a lady needed a make-over its Anne. She looks sad, downtrodden and old. Definetly makes the old saying Money dosen't bring you happiness seem very very true.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my baby at 12 weeks and had D&C a week later on 6th Jan. I can't imagine what your going through losing your baby so far along. For me it hit me worst after the baby was gone from my body, I was producing milk and that was painful to think that my body assumed I had a baby to feed. I created a little memorial box for "Charlie" which I've put some special items in and I keep it safe, so something like this might help you to deal with it all a bit. I did bleed for about 8 weeks but that was because I had a partial molar pregnancy and my hormones haven't yet reached normal but with a normal pregnancy you should stop bleeding within a couple of weeks if not sooner. Don't avoid talking and crying about whats happened, you'll go through so much emotion, one minute sad, the next angry and it can be a bit overwhelming so please don't keep it bottled up, you are entitled to grieve the loss of your baby and don't blame yourself. It happens so often you do start to wonder how a baby even makes it through conception to birth with all the things that can go wrong. One thing you can take from this is that it'll make you a stronger person and you obviously can get pregnant so one day you will have a perfectly healthy baby! Love n hugs xx Edit: Richard what a thing to say - after I saw my baby on the scan monitor without a heartbeat I had to go on for another week as normal before having the baby removed from my body. I also came online for support from people who had similar experience. What do you expect a woman to do in this situation? sit in a heap & cry - well thats what happens anyway and in between you seek comfort from others. I can't understand why some people are so heartless!

It wouldn't surprise me if the whole family was in on it - except maybe the 90 year old father. I don't believe for a moment that the two sons are completely innocent and am half-expecting them to be arrested as well any day now.

I gather she's supposed to be quite a devout Catholic and insisted that there be a church within 5 minutes walk of their Panamamian villa. Whether she was planning to go to confession or not, who can say. The police will want to try and find out who was the driving force behind all of this - probably her husband, but she's not going to escape being named as an accessory. After all, she claimed the insurance money, not her husband - and according to her version of events, he was already living in the secret room in her attic at the time so she knew she was committing fraud.

Unless she turns supergrass and becomes the star witness against her husband, she'll go down for as long as he will - and he'll have a REALLY hard time in prison - not just from the prisoners, but also the staff - as a fomer prison officer himself he'll need all kinds of protection.

I wish I lived in the North East and was lucky enough to get on the jury for this one when it goes to court. I've got the feeling it will be revealed as the most inept crime in years and will be totally hilarious with both of them trying to blame each other.

I'm waiting for the TVmovie. Robert Lindsay and Zoe Wannamker to play John & Anne Darwin! You read it here first!!

Since they were both in on the scam, there should be no pity for either of them. However, I am interested to see what kind of sentence will be handed out to them, especially when you consider that Conrad Black only got 6 1/2 years for embezzling millions.

The insurance companies will go for the throat. Swindlers are not taking lightly.
Will insurance premium rise because of people like this. You bet they will.
The rest of us have to pay, the insurance companies wont lose out.
Remember them when your next insurance premiums come shooting through the letterbox. They did not have to do this.
They both took leave of their senses to gain money so they could lead the life of Riley.

I suppose the old saying "Be sure your sins will find you out" is true.
I do believe it - she has reason to look sad. I am amazed actually at how well she looked before she was found out. Imagine living under that strain for five years!

She looked as happy and fresh as a lamb in that Panama picture, though, when she was living the expat life and thinking they got away with it!

Fook her. The money she swindled is one thing...but what kind of mother deliberately misleads her sons into thinking their father is dead? For what, a few thousand pounds? She was a willing participant and I don't feel the least bit sorry for her.

She should have thought about the consequences before she decided to commit an insurance fraud.
She didn't fake her death but she claimed the life insurance knowing that her husband wasn't dead.

No sympathy.

Well. she hasn't got any money.....now. She's a cheat and a liar. How could she let her son's and father in law exist for 5 years thinking that idiot was dead. She is cruel too. A calculating no hoper with a plan that went wrong. Let the law take it's course.

They are both as bad as each other. Liars, Fraudsters, deceivers, what more can I say. They was both smiling in Panama, until they got rumbled, the smiles soon came off their faces. S C U M.
