The votes are cast but its those who count that determine the winner.
The voices of the people are no longer heard and if they are they are ignored. The countries leaders put soldiers and its own citizens in harms way by destabilizing the world with its preemptive foreign policy.
American citizens are played like puppets and made to believe the propaganda from both sides that wish only to gain support so they can gain office or stay in office.
The result is division.
Civil unrest is not to far away.
I feel bad for the Americans who can't see what their country is turning into.
I hope that some of the smarter ones wise up and move out before those dark days arrive.

No one said you had to fight for it. You can just hide out complaining about America, while enjoying the freedoms other people paid for. If you can find a better country, then go, you have that right here. You'll be happier, and so will the rest of us.

In the forties and fifties it was worth fighting for because we had no idea it was just as bad or even worse than our so called enemies. Now with information available to about everyone it is now clear America is nothing more than a country that sold itself to china for the sole purpose of GREED.
Our government has been purchased by sleazy rich conglomerates that only care about using America and it's inhabitants as cows to milk until they dry up. So I am now 68 years old and fought in the Vietnam war and am now convinced America is not worth fighting for.

Many countries are worth fighting for, as I fought 22yrs of my life while in the military defending the freedoms of america, however I see it was mostly in vain as there is still hatred amongst different races, and america has become the military bully of the world and thinks it can take charge of all world problems, thus making it the most hated country of all time.

Yes, the system needs to change. Our government's corrupt and we're loosing freedoms one at a time, but our soldiers have always fought for their families freedoms and for the man next to them. There will always be people to fight for them... Not for the politicians. You're one of them too, sometimes peoples' beliefs need to be challenged.

*****OH, THIS AIN'T THE ONLY PLACE WITH FREEDOM! I don't know why so many Americans are so brain washed that this is the only place with FREEDOM! PLEASE!!!!!!! Freedom from what? Like I said, gotta pay taxes up the YOO-HOO!!!********** Then you got all those bitter GUN HAPPY freaks going into mall/churches to take their anger out on innocent people. Is this freedom? I'm a U.S. Citizen, but I sometimes see my Country as a JOKE!!! Then I think of who's running it and that re-confirms it for me.

The real question is "Who are you fighting against for it?"

Sure, every American thinks America's worth fighting for, and they'll fight each other for it. Democrats vs Republicans; liberals vs conservatives; war on terror vs war on poverty. We're all too busy fighting each other, it's no wonder everyone else in the world hates us.

America's current administration is bad, the problem is not enough of its citizens realise it.

GWB's popularity in the USA is officially lower of that when Nixon resigned...
