Very surprising and sad if true. I teach world history in college. Somehow, many students from high school know little about the Cuban Missile Crisis or how very close we were to a nuclear catastrophe. It is a lesson of history worth knowing. We do not want get that close again. Those of us who forget are doomed to repeat past mistakes.
