For the PSP I recommend Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, as another answerer said. It is not gory at all and it is a really fun game. I know my brother's friends play Ratchet games and they love them, and he is 18. For the Wii I recommend Zelda: Twilight Princess. Good action and adventure game and not too gory either. I would highly recommend Super Smash Bros. Brawl but it has not been released yet (well not in my country) but if it has been released where you live then buy that for him!

Well, I'm speaking from a different point of view, for I am a 15 year old myself. Luckily, I have both the Wii and the PSP. I also seem to have similar interests as your son, so that's even better.
For the Wii, I would recommend...
Super Mario Galaxy (Platformer / Adventure, MOST RECOMMENDED!!!), because it is a Mario / Nintendo game, and features one of the main characters from Super Smash Bros. Brawl,
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Swordfighting / Adventure), also, because it is a major Nintendo game as well as a major character from the Super Smash Bros. Brawl series,
Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution (Ninja fighting / Action), because it is a Naruto Wii game.
For the PSP, I would recommend...
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes (Ninja fighting / Action), because, again, it is a Naruto PSP game,
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters (Shooter / Adventure / Platformer), because although it is not Naruto or Nintendo, it is still a very good shooter.
Hope this helps!

I was just at Target and I asked the guy in electronics this questions. He said to get Mario Galaxy! I have heard it is the best game for the WII ever! Also, I saw a Naruto game for the WII on clearance for about 10 bucks...check out the clearance there!!

may talk to some of his buddies to see if he has mentioned to them something he wants. It ,ay even be more simple than you thought, like a new pair of shoes, or new bedspread with sports team, get him some new books that he would like, like the newest on in that collection. my 15 y/o nephew likes new balls (basket or foot) his favorite sports team is UNC, so he like the hoodies to wear with maybe some matching adidas pants, if he has a game console, you can always get used games for cheap that are gaurenteed to work from the store the game stop, boys also like the axe body wash and spray, or he may prefer a real bottle colonge. good luck
