I'm an African-American male looking at schools near Boston such as Boston College, Boston University, and Tufts University.

I have an SAT score of 2060.
Critical Reading - 770
Math - 610
Writing - 680

SAT 2
Literature - 700
Math 1 - 720

Do you think these scores will help me that much?

Absolutely. I would be shocked if they didn't. If you were looking at Harvard and MIT, I would say that your chances were iffy, but looking at the College Board's descriptions of what was needed to get into these schools, you are right on target (maybe a little low on the math on the SAT 1 for Tufts, but you more than make up for it with the other scores and your SAT 2).

I went to BU and absolutely LOVED it.
Other schools to consider (that I think you have a good shot of getting into) are
BC
Northeastern
Umass Amherst
Tufts
Holy Cross
Babson
Bentley
