I have a presentation and I would like to get the audince impressed with it.

You'll probably get lots of different suggestions about ways to make Flash, convert Flash to PowerPoint, convert PowerPoint to Flash, and lots more.
My advice would be to stick with PowerPoint and forget about Flash. Learn PowerPoint well and you'll be able to build very impressive presentations with just the right amount of pizzaz (not too much, not too little).
If you want to show off your programming/web 2.0 prowess, get yourself into Adobe Air or Microsoft Silverlight. These tools are the up and coming things to learn.
