I would never do that. Not even to my worst enemy.

Neville Smith realized that he is the last true human and that mankind has been replaced by a type of vampire. By hunting them down and killing them in gruesome ways in the daytime, he has become the equilvilant of a monster to their eyes. He realized that they are now the dominants and compose society and that he is the one who should die. He kills himself in order to keep from being tortured to death. As he dies and he see them looking back at him with abject fear, he realized that he has supplanted all the horrible figures in their imagination. He is their dracula, their nightmare figure, their terror that waits for them to go to sleep. His name is now synomous with fear, he is now Legend. Of course, I've not seen the movie, so it's just a guess. Perhaps Will Smith produces a cure for the vampires and everyone dances through magical chocolate covered forest. It'll be just like 'Getting Jiggy with it' and 'thriller'

"Alvin and the Chipmunks"
Jason Lee as "Dave" decides he's fed up with the little guys (especially Alvin) and throws them in a wood chipper. The ASPCA shows up, of course, and sets up camp in his front yard where they begin a protest. Frustrated, Dave fires a few shots into the air in an attempt to chase them off. It doesn't work. In fact, his actions only get the FBI involved and suddenly Dave finds himself in a standoff with the Feds. After lengthy negotiations, Dave becomes overwhelmingly remorseful about his actions and shoots himself. As he lay dying, we hear him whisper his last words..."Allllviiiiin....."
Fade to black.

The man is really a woman and the dog is actually a cat.
And the cupcake dies at the end only to be revived in the sequel. So, stay tuned...
