60% of the boys tak lunch
therefore 60%x60%=36% of the school are boys take lunch
do the same for girls and you get 40%x40%=16%of the school are girls take lunch
total is 52% of class takes lunch

Strength of the school be taken as 100
No of boys =60 Boys who take lunch = 60% of 60 = 36
Similarly for girls 40% 0f 40 = 16
Total out of 100 who take lunch = 36+16 = 52%
