Check the website of each one.

Ritsumeikan:
http://www.ritsumei.ac.jp/eng/

Aichi:
http://www.aichi-u.ac.jp/foreign/english/index.html

Utsunomiya:
http://www.utsunomiya-u.ac.jp/en/index.html

Kagoshima:

The biggest difference is their locations.

Ritsumeikan is Kyoto.
Aichi is Nagoya.
Utsunomiya is Utsunomiya (northern Kanto.).
Kagoshima is Kagoshima (Kyusyu).

Out of these 4, Ritsumeikan is the most prestigious and well-known. Other 3 are not known much in Japan.

So I would prefer Ritsumeikan. And it's in Kyoto where you can have fun after school!

Ritsumeikan is the best, the most prestigious and the quality of education, as well as the chances for realization are best.
Aichi ... is in for the money. I have friends who study there and such who wanted to teach there, but gave up. If you want to study in Nagoya, try Nagoya university or Nanzan.
Utsunomiya, as long as I know, doesn't have PhD program. It is very close to Tokyo, but otherwise is quite a provincial place.
About Kagoshima, I'm not so sure, but what I can say for sure is it is very far from all bigger cities in Japan. It is nice and romantic and good for a trip, but nothing more.
If you can enter Ritsumeikan, go for it. It is close to the temple with the stone garden, and it is so green and quiet, and nice , and the students are all intelligent, kind and open.

Margaret Mountford has spent over 20 years working with Sir Alan Sugar and is his most trusted advisor. Born and brought up in Holywood, Northern Ireland, she says her background aided her career progression, because "coming from Northern Ireland gives you a lot of basic level-headedness and stands you in very good stead". Margaret was educated at Girton College, Cambridge, before becoming a solicitor in private practice. She was a partner at Herbert Smith, a top-tier legal firm; it was at this time she met Sir Alan Sugar while she was doing legal work for Amstrad's flotation on the Stock Exchange. After retiring in 1999, Margaret took up her current role on the Amstrad board as a non-executive Director. Although never officially employed by Sir Alan, they have worked together on projects for over 20 years. Margaret Mountford is currently working part time toward a Ph.D in Papyrology, the study of ancient manuscripts.
