I'm just a little worried my college application won't be right for "older" people or they won't be able to relate to it the same way as say, someone in their twenties.

Admissions offices do hire recent college graduates, but mostly to talk to potential students. Much of the work of evaluating applications is done by older people in the office - at my school, people in their 50s and 60s. Know that they are used to reading applications from young people, so they won't be shocked by whatever you say, but if you were trying to score points by sounding "cool" or using textspeak in your essays, that would have been inappropriate for the situation, even if you were dealing with young admissions officers.
