I think there is a slight difference between eating a steak and setting two dogs upon each other for the purporse of entertaiment. We need to kill to survive, rather it is a cow or insects that eat our vegetables. Killing for entertainment is just wrong. Also, Vick's group killed dogs who are not up to the job with some rather cruel methods. Then he showed absolutely no remorse on what happened. I mean at least put on a show. Instead, he was tested postive for drugs and wearing improper attire to Court. Vick was simply dumb and arrogant to think that he was beyond the law.

Here's the thing, most people are not PETA. Most people are sensable and can think of what is wrong and what is right. Simply, one cannot compare apples and oranges, see dogs, as well as dolphins, parrets, cats, monkeys, turtles, etc. are apples, and cows, pigs, goats, chickens, and fish are oranges. One group is made of intelligent animals, and one group has no other purpose other than to be eaten. Some can argue that pigs are intelligent, and there is some proof of that, but since they have been a staple on the dinner table for so long it won't be taboo to eat them for a long, long time. Besides Vick didn't do what he did to eat he did what he did for money, it was wrong and inhumane.

People, the hunting of animals thrives for getting food to survive. It goes back to the prehistoric days. Killing dogs for not preforming well in fights is not for a good or just cause. There is a big difference between hunting and eating meat, and just plain killing a dog over a fight.

I really wish vicks defenders would become educated on this subject. Those falcons players tonight wearing shirts under their jersey that said "free vick" really showed how uneducated and dumb they are.

A lot of people say they're vegetarians but eat meat anyway. In the European climate, you will become ill if you eat no meat at all. You'll get vitamin D and anaemia. Of course you shouldn't break up with her. Just treat it as a shock encounter with reality.

Eating a steak is legal. There is no law against it.

Participating in, arranging, etc. a dog fight is a felony in 48 states (misdemeanor in the other 2).

FELONY = Prison time (bad)

LEGAL= No prison or jail time (good)

Another meaning of FELONY is crime....get it?

yeah, yeah....and th haulocaust was a hoax.
was Vic eating the dogs? or just cruelly condemning them for "sport"?
lots of our "food" is treated in a less than humane way before it hits the supermarket, but not like what you're refering to.

Raising animals for the sole purpose of food (i.e. cows, chickens, pigs, etc.) and raising dogs for the sole purpose of watching them rip each other apart for joy and profit are two entirely different things. And if you have trouble distinguishing between the two then you are one with the problem.

What if someday, some Vick supporter decides that its ok to train children to fight to the death, and bet money on it with his rich bored **** friends... If Vick is sentenced to burn in hell, well, now he is getting what he deserves.
