The PBA ban is popular among Republicans and moderate Democrats as PBA is opposed by about 80% of Americans. Even many supporters of the right to choose see partial birth abortion as going too far. The Democrats would need another landslide sweep in the Congressional elections like in 2006 and win the presidency for any chance to overturn the ban.
The next president might however affect abortion more indirectly by their Supreme Court nominees. Justice Stevens will probably retire soon and if replaced by another liberal the right to abortion will probably not be eroded any further.

The President has absolutely no power to overturn any decision by the Supreme Court.

Congress has to present a bill for the President to sign. It will quickly be challenged by those who cannot kill unborn babies fast enough or in large enough numbers to satisfy their blood-lust and the Supremes will have to decide again. All this because Roe v Wade was simply bad law. Abortion should have been left up to the States to regulate or ban as it already was.

Outta here nailed it,but the President gets to appoint the next few judge postions that will be given up,but tell me,why would you really want to have it overturned,I mean after all, sucking the brains out of a helpless victim is not the answer, even as it claws its already formed hands and fingers, while you pull him/her from the womb.

The President has no power to do anything about abortion.

Only Congress and the Supreme court can take any action on the issue.

That's why it doesn't matter WHAT the President thinks about it.

With enough Democrats in congress they can raise the abortion age to 18 years. Since they can't vote, they're not really people anyway.
