Just a "maybe" ....

It's because power supply usage is not only on the video card but processor, sound cards, hard drivers etc. So yes, it "could" help. But sadly, the biggest power draws are processor and video card. The others just pile up.

Even if the video card box/documentation recommends a power supply unit's power rating, its not even sure to work on it because you might be using a whole lot of other stuff thats using power as well.

And don't worry...... Nothing will explode or get fried if it's undervoltaged, usually you'll get a Windows and/or BIOS warning that your overall power usage exceeds your PSU unit.

But to be safe, it's better to have a 500W or better power supply. No hassles. =)

Possibly, chances are that it would operate normally until you try to run a 3D app, when that happens, most cards will up their core and memory speeds, thus drawing more power. In the event that there inadequate amounts of power, usually the computer will just turn off. But if you're unlucky there may be significant damage to the mobo. With that said, there quite a bit of fudge factor when dealing with PSU's. If you have a good high quality PSU, you may be able to get away with it. But if you have some cheap generic PSU that came with your case. Then you might have problems.

It will but I would not take the risk of running anything with that powersupply. You can damage your videocard and possibly fry the motherboard.
Although I did try it once on an old HP computer I had. It came with a 100W PS, but I was able to run a GeForce MX440 on it which requires atleast 300W.
You can buy a nice new 400W+PSU for $50-$60.

NO, you will burn up the vidcard...It won't have the necessary amperage as well as being under voltage...a sure way of destroying the card quick...
