do people insist on going to school and work and practice(sports) with mono, strep, and other contagious illnesses.

I mean, you HAVE to know you are going to get someone sick.

Girls on my swim team have been coming to practice with strep, mono, bronchitis, and 102 degree fevers.

Guess what Im sick! Oh yeah and may have mono again!

I actually do have a question this isnt just a rant, well 2 questions really.

Do people just not care that they may get someone else sick?

Why do people go to school when they are so sick?

When I had mono last year, I stayed home, missed 2 months of school and recieved no tutoring from the school and failed all but one class 2nd semester and made them all up in summer school. If I do have mono again I plan on staying home till im not contagious.

I hate people.

Q.1. Do people just not care that they may get someone else sick?;

45% of sick kids stay home because they wanna just stay hom and have the day off,

20% are nerds who don't care about anything other than their studies and their grades, even if it gets others sick because ultimately that just makes their grade stand out move over peope who stayed home.

35% have strict parents and they're lucky to get 2 or 3 days off in a year, so they're forced to go to school beyong their will.

Q.2. Why do people go to school when they are so sick?;

.. Actually I think the first reply pretty much answers that xD

Answer to your two questions:

1. Many people are not aware of the situation that they may make someone else sick with contageous diseases and they really don't care.

This is akin to the situation on roads when young bikers drive rashly little realising that other motorists may go wrong and hit them.

2. Sick people still go to school because of the pressure of study and attendance as also many schools do not take care of such situations.

Don't hate people just take precautions. Hatred doesn't harm others, it harms you only.

lol you have to remember that not all mothers will let their children stay home, sick or not. ive had many many friends whod have to go to school then get sent home for their mothers to even believe they are remotely sick.

and also you only get mono by the exchange of saliva or mucus. by kissing or sharing your drinks with one another. it is very very rare for it to be passed by even a cough. it has to be the exchange of saliva. and even if you where in the pool swimming the chlorine would kill it instantly. so if anything you getting mono again isnt their fault. it is highly contagous, but only if youve been kissing them or drinking after them. and their are no meds to kill it it has to go away on its own. the only thing you can do is take it easy.

with strep it is highly contagous. but it usually dosent hit in full force until someone is really really sick. it is easy for it to lie dormant like an everyday cold. but if they did see a doctor he cant let them by law go back to school until they have been on antibiotics for atleast 24 hours. so if anything the kids didnt know about it.

if they can make it through a day of school while being 'sick' then they arent very sick. espically with these two ailments they make you almost too sick to do anything. especially without meds and plenty of rest. so if your so worried about getting sick then stay away from them and wash your hands more because thats the only way to be safe when it comes to germs.

It's tiresome. The only thing I can recommend is that you look after yourself. Frequent hand-washing throughout the day, use a paper towel to open bathrooms doors while keeping your hands clean. Stay out of the habit of touching anywhere on your face or you could infect yourself with a cold or flu virus.

I care when i am sick. I am in college and my professors will flunk me if i miss. They even said, "unless you are hospitalized i really don't care." Sometimes it is out of people's control!
