Like in movies, in Egypt or where there was treasure?

Yes, but absolutely NOTHING like the ones in Hollywood movies. Typical booby traps consisted of things like collapsing doors, or mazes or pitfalls in passages, not the "poison darts out of nowhere" and "giant rocks rolling down ramps" stuff.

Most of the great treasures were stolen thousands of years before archaeologists found the tomb. A lot of ancient Egyptians weren't as terrified of curses as they were of poverty, and the traps that existed they learned pretty quickly.

The traps were in the tombs of the pharoahs and nobles to protect the treasure that was buried with them.
Don't rely on Hollywood for the correct history of anything
