I remember very well of going there. I was thinking that I had only been there once. But thinking back I have been their twice. First time I went was in 1975, that was my graduation gift from my parents to go to my aunt and uncles house. They took me there while I was visiting them. I had a wonderful time. Then the next time I went was with my ex-husband and my step-daughter. He made that trip a night mare for me.
But all in all, I love that place, would love to go back and visit it again some day.

No........I didn't go till I was an adult. Disney World though. Had such a ball and I instantly turned into a kid the second I laid eyes on Cinderellas Castle. I went at Christmas time and literally cried it was so cool! No kids either but I made up for it. LOL Mickey Mouse ears and all.
I liked Space Mountain and the tree house but sat mesmerized at the castle for a long long time. Made all my dreams come true.

I remember going but I was in my early 20's - (now 66) - and was living CA at the time. My father flew over from England for a business trip and I thought that I would surprise him with a trip to Disneyland! At first he balked! (He was an engineer)! But when I finally got him in there - I could not get him out! He tried to figure out with his engineers brain the workings of the submarine and of course, "Mr. Abraham Lincoln" - the statue that moved like real human and spoke to all who would listen! Bloody marvelous - loved it! CJ

Disneyland wasn't around when I was a kid - it opened in 1955, I was 13 and living abroad.
I did get to DisneyWorld in Orlando when my own kids were older...11, 16 and 18

I went to Disneyland the year it first opened. I loved the Jungle Boat ride. It was so cool when they shot the hippopotamus. Not PC by todays standards, but it was very entertaining. And the teacups ... loved the teacups. It was such a magical place.

I remember my grandfather taking me on the boats and I really thought i was steering and going on Mad Hatter and thinking we were going to run into the wall when magically the doors flew open and we didn't crash!

Via the boob tube, remember all the steps of it's construction, from conception to opening. Walt's descriptions and undates were frequent during the series. Never have been there in person.
