Are you expecting company for Christmas? My friend is arriving tomorrow - and I am nervous and finding it hard to sit still.
There have been some pretty miraculous things happening, first was the price of the ticket - first time he checked it was $1565.00 - then his travel agent phoned and said they had just announced a seat sale - $371 - can your believe it?
I feel like I had miracles popping up all over, and I believe sincerely that y'all wonderful seniors have been the conduit (is that the right word?) to God -
Second miraculous thing is that he had the same experience I had, a sudden awakening, feeling fear, anger, anxiety and worries just melt away - and then a feeling of peace -- and happiness. I have been praying he would let God into his life.
And it has happened - the best Christmas present I could have, ever - and my son today - took me to my appt at the clinic and then told me he had embraced God in his life.
I am SO happy for all of us.

So it looks as if God is going to a special guest this year, a part of the family. I hate to say guest because that suggests He will be leaving - and He wont be.
I hope He can also reach my daughter's heart with His message of peace and love and forgiveness

I know some of my dear friends on here are alone and I apologize if my question makes you feel bad, I wish you lived close enough for me to invite you for xmas dinner and to spend xmas - though you would have to bring sleeping bags and sleep on the floor

Add my joy to yours, for you this Christmas.
I am soooo happy that your Son has accepted the Lord into his life. Now, things will start to really look up in his life for he will have someone to cast his cares upon.
I will be praying for your daughter right along with you. Sometimes it just takes a little time for others to see the changes that appear in your life when God is within.
Have a joyous and joyful Christmas, my friend.

I am so happy for you. Yes, miracles do happen and i feel so blessed that your miracles keep coming. I too, pray that someone I consider friend would begin to accept God . I ask and pray also that my daughter would be enlightened where her chosen partner is concerned. I pray that she finds true love not just for her sake but her son as well. In God's time I know miracles that are meant for me will happen.
I am so very, very happy for you and wish you all a Merry Christmas.

I'm so happy for you, Isotope ! Sounds as if you've had some wonderful happenings lately - and a very merry Christmas to you.
We won't be having anyone here, unfortunately. Most of our family live interstate, and we only have my son near us. We'll go and have lunch with him and his partner and our grand-daughter. On the way home, we'll drop in and visit our friend who is very ill, and currently having chemotherapy, so she has to stay inside. (Its summer here and she can't go out in the sun.) So that will be a nice day.
Our daughter and her husband will come to see us in January, so good things do come to those who wait.
Lots of happiness to you and your family !

No one coming. Two of three daughters live close so they will be dropping by. My mother (who also lives close) is flying to my sister's in Alaska. It will only be the second Christmas I have spent without her since I was born (I am 52). My father died in Jan so my first without him also. Sorry if I sound sad-I am not. It's just going to be a different Christmas. I am so glad your friend is getting to come. For me it's all about friends and family-I don't need any gifts at all!!

We're not having company, I hope to get to go see my family for Christmas. I'd like to be able to visit my daughter and also go see my folks sometime during the holidays.
You really do have some wonderful miracles in answer to your prayers, for you and your loved ones! I hope things work out with your daughter. May things continue to get better for all of you. Merry Christmas!

The shops are crowded and busy because of Christmas shopping. Everyone has a reason to buy more than normal and the prices are the lower due to competition.
