1a) 1 metre is 100 centimetres; 1 yard is 36" or (36 x 2.54) cm which is 91.44 cm. To find the % increase, divide (100-91.44) by 91.44 and multiply by 100. 9.36% increase.

1b) 1 litre is 1000 millilitres; 1 quart is 2 pints or (2 x 473.2) millitres or 946.4. To find the % increase, divide (1000-946.4) by 946.4 and multiply by 100. 5.66% increase.

1c) 1 kilogram is 1000 grams; 2 pounds is (2 x 453.6) grams or . To find the % increase, divide (1000-907.2) by 907.2 and multiply by 100. 10.23% increase.

2) 1 foot = (12 * 2.54) cm or 30.48 cm or 0.3048 metres. So 1 cubic foot = (0.3048)³ m³ = 0.028316846592 m³
128 ft³ = 128 x 0.028316846592 m³ = 3.625 m³.

3) 1 cubic inch = 2.54³ cm³ = 16.387064 cm³
231 in³ = 231 x 16.387064 cm³ = 3785.411784 cm³
