It is supposed to be an assertion to a paragraph in an essay I am writing on the theme of alienation and loneliness in relation to the novel Frankenstein.

When individuals are separated from society and threatened with animosity if they step outside their abode, they tend to impel themselves to learn and seek knowledge that will content their life.

It makes sense. People who are threatened try to find a way to make their life peaceful. Your style seems a little wordy and stiff by today's standards. I did have to check the dictionary to see if "content" could be used as a verb.

What type of reader is it designed for. Writing like this might put a lot of highschoolers to sleep. It sure is better than "Yo, when a dude is hasselled ... ". I do not want to discourage you from advancing your vocabulary, it might read better if you dropped a word or two. Read it again tomorrow and see what you think of it.

It looks badly like you just took a thesaurus and grabbed the biggest words you could find to expand your sentence and make it sound intelligent.

You did not succeed in doing so.

Abode? Impel? No one will believe those words "just came to you."

Your sentence also makes little sense...and it is too busy.

doenst make sense grammatically. there should be an 'or' before if, 'impel' should be 'compel'. put 'then' after 'they' and change 'content' to 'satisfy'

you're using words wrong, and using verbs or adjectives when it should be something else. that will make the sentence make sense. otherwise its a good sentence if you back it up and support it in your essay.
