If your best friend/family member/boyfriend/girlfriend/other told you that they were a serial killer? Reason why i am asking this is because i watched the recent episode of Dexter and i have no clue what i would do if some one told me they were a serial killer.

Depends on the situation. Unfortunately (sorry but I am not a bleeding heart on this one) we have no one cleaning up the rapists and serial killers in the communities. I'd probably let them know that I understand and am there for them if they need to talk. If it was someone I knew, of course. If a stranger told me I would try to exit post haste.
If someone just told me "You know what. I kill people." and didn't want to explain I might be a bit freaked and in retreat mode.

Dexter almost told Deb because he thought he was caught. He played out all of her reactions in his mind (Including her just taking out her gun and shooting him) and it was hillarious!
