In my theatre class we have to perform a monolouge from a play and i would perfer it be from hairspray. if not do you know of any others? maybe from wicked or other good shows?
Please say the name of the show the monologue is from!

How about Luisa's introductory monologue from The Fantasticks? That was always my favorite monologue, although an awful lot of people do it.

Honey, I'm sorry, but please, if you're going to find a monologue from a play, please find one from a PLAY, not a musical. I repeat, NOT A MUSICAL.
Most monologues from musicals are lame, and there are very few to choose from anyway. Monologues from plays tend to have much more depth and character development. Look up some plays (NOT MUSICALS) that feature characters within your age range and type, and go from there.
