I've heard that immortality is the most sought after prize. One that is currently impossible to get. But it sounds good right? Never dying. Getting to do what you love forever. My question is would you really want to be immortal? Wouldn't that get incredibly boring after you doing EVERYTHING for eons? I mean sure it will take a long long time to become good at everything but remember time is not an issue now. Eventually your going to be a master at everything, and than what? What will you do after you tire of doing everything?

Nagissa perhaps you should re-read my entire question. This is entirely theoretical.

The world makes new technology everyday. You would spend your days figuring it all out ... Find THE answer to everything (memorize you tymes tables maybe? Ha) And Love goes on forever....So you could Love... When the person you love dies It will be sad but theres TONS of people... And if the whole world dies.. You could do whatever you want you could make a whole new world You probaly wouldn't get lonely beacouse im sure in the future people will have made holagrams and other things like that ...

You will never be a master at everything...that's impossible...even if you have eons to live...but I think being an immortal is boring not because there'll be nothing to do but simply because you see everyone else dying, people thinking you're different...and even if everyone becomes immortal, well, it just gets really stupid cause we'll all do bad stuff and know we won't die from it

I have actually given this quite a bit of thought (just in case!) and have come up with this:

I do not think one would get bored. However, I believe one would become a recluse after having to deal with the pain of having to continually see your loved ones die. So, immortality, no. An extended life (250 yrs) would be kind of neat.

One caveat; youth and good health

"I plan to live forever, of course. But barring that I'd settle for a few thousand years. Even 500 would be pretty nice."
CEO Nwabudike Morgan

Personally I do plan to live forever. You think I'm going to let some petty thing like death stop me? And no, it wouldn't get boring. Assuming time is infinite, there's as many infinite possibilities for me to explore. The "Everything" I'd become good at is just as infinite as the time I'd have to learn it.

P.S.
Who says that I have to be the only one who lives forever? Why can't my soulmate do it too?

that is a difficult question, because something which is immoral in one place one ort in the other it might be just mater of positions for example:
the excimuse have this coustum, that they offer their weifes to sleep with the Gast, and if he refeuses. that means impolit.
or in some countreis if they offer you food and drink if you refeuse eating is impolit.
their are diffrent aspect of viewing somthing, and I think immortality is the way you view it, som prefer having relationshio which more people the others not.
the truthfullness is the must important thing. you should act the way that you wont heart anybody

A significant omission in your surmise: one's own being also increases in vibrancy. Hence, in true immortality, one is infinitely joyful, etc., and one is never "tired" or "bored," for reasons of both personal Christ-Mindedness, and the infinite increase of God.

Try reading "Climb the Highest Mountain," Mark Prophet, and "Dossier on the Ascension," Serapis Bey, for quality information on the Ascension in the Light of God process, the process recorded in the Bible re Enoch, Elijah, and Jesus. It is the real immortality.

I would strive to establish world peace, that'd never get boring and it'd be complete, even if I accomplish it, it'd have to be maintained.

Not to mention, there is so much information that can't be passed on because one dies, it would be such a benefit if someone who knew everything about a certain subject could maintain that research.

... Either that or world domination.

Immortality is something that every human being is going to experiance one day. It will be a happy day for some and a very sad day for others. God created us for companionship with Him. Satan came into the picture and is trying to drag as many people down with him into hell as he can. With God, He doesn't want anyone to perish but have everlasting life with Him in His Kingdom He has created for us. However, He has also given us a free will to choose what we want. If we choose a life where we follow Him and live by His word and except Jesus as our Lord and Savior then we will go to be with Him in His kingdom. If not then it will be spent in a hell created for satan and his followers and the people that did not except jesus as their personal Savior. So, in conclusion, whether you seek it or not you will find it. Choose Life!
When your with God there will always be something going on and it will not get boring. Hell won't be boring either but eternal torment. Forever!

I'm fairly certain I might eventually want to "end" self-awareness, but...

I most definitely want the "option" to decide how long I live...

Mother Nature only gave us 1 to 125 years tops...and THAT is just too damn short...
