My machine does not spin. I have checked inside and the belt IS NOT broken. It is a fisher paykel model number AD53-U.
if you give the barrel a little push start it will run normally. but when it stops to run the other way it stops and you have to push it again. If this makes sense.

sound like a worn/stretched belt...check and see if there are any adjustment that can be made to tighten the belt. if not. a new belt should take care of the problem

The belt may be slipping a bit. Check there is no grease or oil on the belt, and tighten the tension a little, if you are able.

the belt is probably stretched a bit, sorta like a car fan belt. Either tighten it, or get a new one.
