Does one bad semester in college shut out your chances of getting into a med school? ( Im a freshman in my first semster of fall 07) Are my chances of getting into med school gone?

Anyone can have a bad semester. Harvard and Johns Hopkins are probably out, but if you do very good after this a lot of good medical schools would probably consider you.

I'd say no. My brother did bad his first year too, but he's in his residency now...so obviously it didn't hurt him. Just make sure you do good on the mcat...i think thats what got him in haha.
