Sho Kosugi!!!

...just finished watching a perrinial '80's classic action film, entitled "Blind Fury", from 1989; character actor Rutger Hauer portrays a sort of modern day Zatoichi, who at the end of the film, engages a most dynamic sword fight with a hired Japanese assassin, played by the legendary ninjitsu-master-skilled Sho Kosuji. This is the guy who exhued the mystic and universal appeal of the ninja (...although a few smattering of cinematic special effects DID help), in the '80's, with the Cannon Films ninja series, like "Revenge of the Ninja", "Enter the Ninja" and "Ninja III: The Domination", as well as the short-lived ABC T.V. series, "The Master", which also starred Lee Van Cleef, a skilled martial artist, in his own right...

...my question is, whatever happened to Sho...this most dynamic, albeit very underappreciated martial arts superstar???

As a fan of those early ninja movies, I have also wondered that before. His son, Kane, is a moderately popular star in Japan with a golfing show and he recently popped up in DOA the movie.

As for Sho, I checked him out on IMDB and it says he was fight choreographer for "The Scorpion King" and is possibly working on a new movie "The Return of the Ninja." Other than that, there is not much on him.
