Our owner has askd us2 vacate their flat due 2their personal reasons. Shd we vacate before lease period ends?
What about the issues on 1).agent's fee 2). monthly deposit 3).Can owner ask the tenant to vacate before lease period ends? 4).What all should a tenant keep in mind before signing any tenancy contract? Singaporeans! Please guide. Thanks.

i guess you should be able to get your deposit back as you have to leave before your lease period ends, i'm not too sure if your owner has breach the contract, you should get an agent, check out 88db website and look for a reliable agent to help you solve your problems with the owner.......hope this helps

Actually u should read what is inside the contract. I believe you have the right to ask a refund from the owner if they are the ones who asked you to shift out. Before you sign a tenant contract, you must check the clause clearly coz sometime the contract is drafted in such a way that it only favour the owner

If You have a lease it is up to you. Make sure you get any deposit back and maybe have them kick in some money for the inconvenience of leaving your lease.

They want you to leave early, they should give up something.

maximum states have a "Dept of honest Housing"... they have a loose pamphlet you could ask for, in that pamphlet there are a itemizing of tenants rights. Get one & examine it... very stable for now & destiny refernce.
