I think its partially because the Christmas songs come in a wide variety of musical styles, but the Jewish songs don't, and there aren't as many Jewish Chanukah songs, either. I can only think of one - the Dreidel song. I'm sure you know others.

But I'm all for musical diversity -- it has just evolved that the Christmas season has focused on the majority of people, who are buying presents for Christmas. Chanukah isn't focused so much on the retail aspect, so I suppose malls are gettling the majority of shoppers in the holiday mood.

Just speculating...

The marketing strategy makes sense. I wish they'd be a little more diverse, myself.

Because people are stupid and assume everyone shopping is christian. They don't take in conderation of any other religion.Because all they think about how much money they're bringing in.
