I'm 15, a sophomore. To keep it simple I'm considering dropping out of school when I turn 16.

If your future job, and it's not something out of the blue, I've decided since years ago "This is what I want to be." and it's a pretty admirable profession to be working as, nonetheless not partially school-related, it's just I feel school deprives me of time I have.

I'm not sure, if I sound extremely ignorant, and please no answers "no u sholud stay in skool && dont do drugs" SERIOUSLY most of you should spell check, respect the English language.

Anyways, the question:
Is school that important?

An interesting mystery job. What if it does not pan out after 3 - 4 years? Then you have deprived yourself of the time you have. If it is a good job now, it will be a good job after you graduate.

If you only want answers that agree with you, then why are you asking the question. The word sophomore comes from 2 Greek words: sophos = wise, and moros = foolish. Put another way: you are not as smart as you think you are, and not as dumb as some people think your are.

Peace.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for anyone to find a well-paying job these days, educated or not. Most places require a minimum of high school. Life is hard enough without saddling yourself with such a huge disadvantage. Sure you can spend your life making minimum wage, but by the time you are 30, you will be wishing that you had taken advantage of the schooling that was offered for free when you were younger. Try looking at the situation from a different perspective, like you were trying to figure out the best advice you would give to someone you really respect, and I'm sure you will decide on the wisest choice.

capitalization is a waste of my time, except on my essays, so ignore the punctuation boo-boos.

anyways, yes school is that important. from your question, one can guess that your future job is something probably high up. however, thats the whole reason why you should stay in school.

when someone comes to you and you find out that theyre a dropout, you automatically assume that theyre stupid. this goes double for employers.

simply put, if youre going to be goign for a job higher than minimum wage, youre probably going to need some education. for something that pays a lot, youre going to need a high school AND college education. if you dont, well, you wont even be considered for the job. your app will just be thrown out.
