I picked out the names Bryley Joel and Paxton Gage for my little boys name LONG ago... Then when I got pregnant, my husband said he would like our kids name to be Thomas. It is something very special to him and has to do with a lost friend. I personaly like the name but would rather not name my kid that... Can you think of any name that could go with it to make it sound different, I hate ordinary names. Please help.

Hyphenate the names Bryley Joel-Thomas or Paxton Gage-Thomas and your last name. When they get older explain about the person that they were honored to be named after.

Thomas Joel, Thomas Gage, and Thomas Paxton would all be acceptable. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Bryley, especially for a boy. It sounds very feminine.

Thomas Joel is cute. Or you could use one of your names for a first name and use Thomas as a middle name, to honor you're hubby's friend. Bryley Thomas is really cute, too.

Just try to comprimise. This is both of your's child and you should both have a say.

Well I personally like Thomas more then your names you suggested. The names you have are very olden names. The kid could be made fun of. I would either respect your husbands wishes and then perhaps name the next baby you maybe have. But uncommon names aren't as good and too common names aren't that good either. I would try to find somewhere in the middle. Between popular name and unpopular name. So it sticks in the middle so it' s not to common or boring, or not common at all where it's very weird of a name.
