All you have to do is slide something under the back of the laptop so there is a small gap. Something like the thickness of a mouse pad. That works for me.

My laptop does the same thing. You can buy a chill mat for it the most i have seen them for is 20. Clean the screen with windex and if you have a vacuum with a arm attachment turn off your comp and vacuum the keyboard.

try a cooling base for your laptop to try to draw more heat out of it. You should probaly call HP customer service if you are still in warranty to complain about it and have it serviced if need be.

clean your monitor with a slightly damp soapy cloth (make sure it's not too wet!)

It probably has alot of lent or dust in it. Take it and have it serviced. Im the meantime try putting a fan behind it, turned on high. That should help.

buy a antistatic spray ... spray it all over the vent at the back of you laptop it will allow the dust to come out and the fan will work very good as mine
