Today on the radio I heard a song that was unmistacably a Pink Floyd song and sounded so familiar yet had diffrent lyrics. I can get taht feeling of listening to it out of my head and I must hear it again It probably sounds something like Wish you were here Time or another Brick. Does anyone have any idea what two Pink Floyd song sound very similar?

Ok,ive listened to more its efinantly not have a cigan welcome to the machine ,Shine on you crazy diamond, hey you, Money or Run like hell. There are still a ton to go through and I also know that my question is absolutly rediculous since there are hundreds of Pink Flyod songs and I only heard a clip of one, but hey you gotta try all I remeber is that it was so great to hear it in the morning that I'm willing to look like a fool to hear it again.

It's not Learn to Fly, that song burned my ears, man it's so low for Pink Floyd, I'm kinda glad it's not it. Also not Mother.

I know you are not hearing things,..the intros and melodic filling in many Pink songs are unmistakeably Pink Floyd and their sound being so unique makes it sound familiar. I can't name you any two in particular, but if you were to listen to the Dark Side of the Moon, LP or CD, from beginning to end it could sound like one long continuous song.

Meddle, Echoes

and if it isn't this, than you should have gotten by now.

While Pink Floyd has plenty of albums, radio play is usually the Wall, Atom Heart Mother, Animals, Meddle, Darkside of the Moon, or Wish You were Here. So I'd start with those. Learning to Fly & Division Bell also get played, but they're mediocre.

You may have heard an Old Steve Miller tune...he did a song in 1968 called Sailor that sounds exactly like Pink Floyd did in 1973....Steve Miller was ahead of his time!

Well, most of their stuff from the 80's just shadows their former works. A favorite on the radio from this era is Learning to Fly. I'm not exactly sure what song it may sound like (haven't listened to it in forever), but I know it starts out with cheesy 80's synth sounds going BOO-bi-bi-chooo WHAA WHAA WHAA WHA WHA... er something like that. Look it up on Youtube or something.

Pink Floyd published several hundred songs, and a lot of them have the same musical qualities. It could have been a lot of songs.

Was it 'Have A Cigar'?

they sound the same because at the end of "Time" there is the "Breathe Reprise"

They end Time with the lyrics "The time has gone, the song is over, Thought I'd something more to say" and then the music goes directly back to "Breathe Reprise" and the lyrics are "Home, Home again, I like to be there when I can"

So in reality you are hearing another part to "Breathe" after "Time"
