Can you put music on to a DVD-R and have it work in a Cd player such as car/truck and stereo?

cause i mean i can burn the stuff to the disc but everythingh says its a bad disc so i try it 3 more times and ge tthe same thing soo....

I guess it would depend on what's beng used to make the Recording. I'm using a Panasonic DMR-ES15 DVD Recorder, and DVD+R Discs are the only way I can Record Audio that will play on anything. I tried DVD-R Discs, and they didn't work on other CD Players.

no you dont need to put it on dvd. Just dont use Moviemaker.I have been making musical slide shows on cd but dvd authored.Nero has a choice that you can use, it takes a while before you find all the correct boxes to tick, so I suggest you use a cd+rw, so you dont waste disks till you suss it all out, then always use rw to test and then copy to r. I did this for almost three years, with different sets of photos from all over the world taken by friends, and turned out to be knock out. The out put format should be mpeg anyway.

CD players can't read DVD discs.
You need to record your music in a CD-R. Actually most CD players will not even play MP3s, so make sure you record in LPCM format (or just ask the software to create an audio CD).

Your car/truck stereo is only capable of playing cd/cdr/cdrw disks and cannot read dvd-type media.

check the logos on the faceplate and see if it has a DVD logo on it, if it doesn't chances are you can't and will have to settle for CD-type media.

Most optic drives require CD-R's answer No also check to see what kind of CD-R you need like CD-R+ or CD-R- Hope this helps you out, yea i've tried it too...
