I have seen some people using for example summation symbols (the capital case greek sigma) and other math symbols. How do you insert these symbols in "yahoo answers"? I have tried to use Latex commands, but it doesn't actually work.

Click START. Click RUN. Type CHARMAP. Select the symbols you want to use and either use the ALT + command listed or just copy and paste them.

Open Microsoft Word or PowerPoint. Create a new blank document with an empty page or slide. Choose Insert -- Object from the menubar. Look at the list of Object types in the window. Do you see Microsoft Equation? If so, you are all set, and you may forgo the installation process and proceed to the next section. If Microsoft Equation does not appear in the list, you must install it from the Office CD. Insert the Office CD into your computer. Find the Equation Editor file in the folder called Value Pack. Copy this file to the Office folder inside the Microsoft Office folder on your computer. In most cases, the Microsoft Office folder is in the Applications or Programs folder on your hard disk.
