My girlfriend swears people live in Satellites in Space. I however disagree, it is not humanly possible. So besides the International Space Station, and Space ships, what do astrnauts reside in?

she must have the ISS modules and satellites mixed up.

as far as I know they stay in the shuttle, and the ISS once in a while they do a spacewalk....

perhaps some of the first nauts lived in capsules for a few hours. but these are considered extensions of rockets.

but generally speaking. NO satellites only carry computers on them.

now if you want to get nitty gritty about it, yes... even the ISS is considered a satellites since it ORBITS the earth, but I believe there is a distinct difference in your points of view)

I'd back you up on this one.
I'd use this to mess things up.
so a naut is in his suit and doing a space walk.
in this situation ----- is the suit a satellite or is the astronaut?

the term "satellite" in your argument should be defined more clearly.

soon they might be living in moon tents when china, russia, and the us complete their moon base missions in 2040

The only satellite currently inhabited is the International Space Station (which IS a satellite). Past inhabited satellites were Mir and Skylab, plus various short-term shuttles, transports, and capsules.

Why besides the ISS and space ships? They're satellites too. A satellite simply rotates the earth and those are considered satellites, so your gf is right.
