Take some time to think things through, then find a moment to talk when not feeling overly emotional, so as to be rational while doing this, it doesn't really make things better, but its easier for me when I am certain of what I'm saying and expressing so with logic, as well as, emotions.

I write it out- I am better with pen and paper then face to face. But it isn't fair to just give someone a letter..........so I read it out loud. To the person. It is hard but at least I had my thoughts together and make some sense this way.
If it was a relationship that you will miss, it will never have an easy goodbye. And why should it? If it was worth something, it should hurt to let it go. Even if letting go is the right thing to do.

I don't think it's ever really easy. I focus on the reason why the relationship failed. If I were to focus on the good times only, then I would be blinded by the truth. The truth is if the relationship failed, there were more difficult or bad times than good.
Thinking in the "what if's" is detrimental for the healing process.
There are always others in the world who can bring out the best in you instead of less.

It is difficult to do so especially when the other person is not willing to part ways. However, one has to face the inevitable and take it sportingly. Both of them can stay in touch and call each other occassionally without getting intimate. So, the best way to make it easy on yourself is to respect each other and live life to its fullest.

I'm ashamed to say it, but I always blame my partner. If you are looking hard enough, you can always find smth to blame him for :) Only once in my life I left a guy and gave him a real reason, that I'd met somebody else. He was really nice and didn't do me any harm, so I was honest with him. All the others got what they earned - I blamed everything on them. And maybe that's fair. After all, nobody made them to cause me pain when I loved them - so let them suffer for it now when I don't love them anymore :)

To be honest with you there really is no easy way to say good bye to some one you love. But you can remind yourself of what it was and understand that there is no point cutting your self picking up broken peices of somthing that will never be again.

about two months ago I said goodbye to alot of people that were good friends ( one more than just a friend)....to make it easier on me I tell them that this is not good bye...never good bye...for goodbye is final...this is more of a "see ya around" kind of thing. for knowing that maybe one day, our paths will cross again, helps.

Leave no words unspoken.
No matter what say your goodbye with gracefullness...
Hold no anger in, and know to release it, let it go...
Load up on the bubble bath, cry your eyes out when you need to... But know when to dry them up, and move forward...
Stay busy in positive things, and know this...
"If we are to allow others in our lives, to have them consistant, they must be positive for us as we to them..."

Its never easy, but if you stay calm, and talk nice, and don't fight, just explain that its for the best, and as painful as it is, it just has to be this way....
