Yea definetly, with the emergence of Troy Tulowitzki at shortstop, Holliday and Helton, they have a pretty good team. All they need to work on is pitching and they can be a dominate NL team.

If the Rockies lose Holliday, they are in trouble. However, they have built a good enough team that should at least make the playoffs next year. I give credit to the Rox. Tulowitzki is going to be one of the best shortstops in the league. Holliday is one of the best power hitters. Helton was a great power hitter, and is a great leader to this young team. The Rockies and the fans have a lot to look forward to in the future. However, I think Larry Walker should have his #33 retired. He did a lot for that team. he could be considered the greatest player in Rockies history. I think the Rockies and the fans have nothing to be ashamed of, and a lot to look forward to.

Ehhhh, I dont know, I mean, they went to the world series, but they got swept by the red sox, and idk, I guess they are gonna go through some tough competition in 08 cause a lot of teams are stepping up from their game and I havent heard anything about the Rockies so far, I've only heard that their catcher went to some other team... So I do expect to see them with more then 85 wins since they have Holliday, but I dont know about them coming to the playoffs, or even bigger, the world series... once again

We'll be more confused after spring training than we are now. Players are ice cold in spring training, the team isn't playing their regulars for more than 3 innings. Weird things happen in spring training. Bad barometer.

With Holiday, Tulowitzki and Helton, as well as the development of Morales as a pitcher, they should on paper be contenders. But I have a really bad feeling about it. It's hard for teams to push as hard as they did for several seasons in a row, and they're not adding any fresh bodies to relieve them, they're losing people. I think a lot of what happened last season can be explained by great momentum - everyone being in the zone and running on adrenaline at the same time. With a whole winter to psycho-analyze it their heads are going to get clouded. With the exception of Tulowitzki and Morales it's unlikely anybody's going to be better next year, and some people like Helton may regress because of age while others like Herges may prove to be unexceptional after all. I really think the world will be rooting for them.... for about a month. By the All Star Break everyone's going to see them as 2008's huge dissappointments.

I dont really think they will make the playoffs for two reasons.

(1. Lost Kazoo Matsui

(2. Lost Latroy Hawkins

Ask again after spring training. Then we'll see how good they looked in spring training. I'd like to think that they will be again though. :)
