Death: there are all kinds of ways to die.
Myself: no, that's like committing internal suicide; thus holding me back I love myself so that won't do it.
Time: It's always there, going the same speed it is us who believes that it goes faster when we've been there and done that; or when it moves too slow because we are impatient.
Another person is the only one I can choose.

In my opinion:
1) Death is a friend. It brings unimaginable peace to all who experience it and it never discriminates as all will experience it.
2) Being one's own worst enemy gives rise to ask why so many who believe it apparently go out of their way to find other enemies. If one believes they are their own worst enemy, why should anyone want to be on friendly terms with them? How are they going to feel about me then? I am the best person I know and I know me better than I know anyone or than anyone else knows me.
3) Time is a friend but only if used wisely. It keeps everything from happening at once and gives us the ability to learn from our mistakes and move forward. Wisdom doesn't come to the young (nor always to the elderly but that's because it's optional).
4) Another: the only possible explanation. While I have made mistakes, I don't hate myself because the errors were learning experiences, not self-loathing. Others who have intentionally done me harm didn't learn but it taught me plenty, mostly to avoid others as much as possible. Since doing so, my life and happiness has grown. Almost all of my unpleasantness in life can be traced to another's actions, although occasionally with my permission.

I've answered a variant of this question lately and would argue that time is the enemy of most of humankind. If given enough time, we would all be able to fix our problems, do better work in school, have the career we've dreamed of, and be able to land that perfect someone. However, life doesn't work this way.

1).....Death is just nature's way of telling us to slow down.
2).....We are each our own worst enemy.
3).....Procrastination (and a lot of other big words) is a waste of time.
4).....Another way of putting this is by saying that a person's way of life is often the cause of their death, ergo, 'lifestyle'.

A person's worst enemy is usually always themselves. Who but ourselves are we more critical about.

2) Themselves.
We are the only ones who hold us back (providing you live in a modern society...if you are on the Internet you probably do).
