I do not understand why this is considering Liberals only want the respecatble government our founding fathers fought so hard for.
the Constitution, Human rights, and a peaceful foreign policy
what makes someone who loves there country and follows the law of the Constitution a Liberal Puke ?
I mean these words sound like people listen to Bill o Reily for a good brainwash every day.

What "Liberal" originally meant was what the founding fathers intended--maximal civil liberties, limited federal government, and adherence to the constitution.

What "Liberal" means today is huge, powerful federal government that tells you what you can put into your body, what you can eat, etc. Liberals of today believe the government can run our lives better than we can and that we need to rely on the government for protection.

The founding fathers believed in rugged individualism, and they included the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms with other civil rights. Modern day liberals support gun control--a policy which has been shown time and time again to have no effect on violent crime. Hitler used gun control to disarm the Jews before the Holocaust. So did the leaders in Darfur before the modern day genocide. So did Castro. So did Communist Russia.

Laws only affect law-abiding citizens. Criminals ignore the laws--that's what makes them criminals. Banning things only makes them so profitable on the black market that people will kill for them (e.g. drugs). Drugs are illegal everywhere, but any high school student can get them. How would guns be different? Violence is already illegal. A gun doesn't magically turn a normal person into a violent killer.

Liberals of today talk about fighting for the little guy yet they continually make government more powerful and the little guy more dependent on government. They claim to want to help underprivileged people, but they end up doing them a disservice by making them reliant on the government.

The government is supposed to be "of the people, by the people, for the people," and they are supposed to be public servants--i.e. serve us. Liberals think they should rule us. They are supposed to be tolerant of differing beliefs, but in reality they are the least tolerant. They won't even debate on a network with a conservative slant. What have they got to hide? Republicans and other parties are subject to liberal bias on all other media networks, and yet they still debate on them.

Liberals do not trust their fellow Americans. They trust only themselves and the government. Yet, governments are the most corrupt beings of all. The worst atrocities in history have been committed by governments against their own people.

Liberals also believe in VERY high taxes. The government is horribly inefficient and wastes money more all the time. Yet liberals vote for more tax increases. Billions of dollars go unaccounted for each year--and that's not counting the debt. How do you "lose" BILLIONS of dollars every year and not find a trail of where it went? Then there's the increasing national debt.

Modern day "liberals" are what the original 13 colonies were fighting against in the Revolutionary War.

These are just some of the reasons that non-"liberals" have strong feelings against "liberals". That said, there exist negative names for all political affiliations.

A better party for what the founding fathers originally called "Liberal" is the modern day Libertarian Party. Give them a look. Basically, they support limited government, maximal civil liberties, low taxes, and no government intervention into our personal lives (i.e. don't tell us what to do with our bodies, or in our bedrooms, or who to marry, etc.).

Being a liberal used to be a good thing. Once upon a time they supported worthy causes such as voting rights for women and blacks, equal opportunity employment, integrated schools, etc.
Now the liberals want open borders so illegals can flood into our country, socialized medicine which will lower the quality of health care and give more power to the government, pulling the troops out of the mid east, declaring defeat and giving our enemies a safe haven, abortion on demand for girls as young as 14 without parental consent or even notification, banning the christian holiday of Christmas while forcing Islamic teaching in our schools, allowing gay men to be Boy Scout leaders, teaching gay/lesbian lifestyles in our public grade schools, gay marriages, legalized marijuana, giving pedophiles the legal "right" to have sex with minors, etc, etc, etc.
These are the policies of the current liberals. Why wouldn't they be called pukes or worse?

It really depends on where you are from. In Liberal States, towns, or areas the views are more favorable toward liberals, and more negative toward Conservatives. The same goes the other way. It just so happens that maybe in some areas you hear more criticism of Liberals because you are from an area that supports Republicans or Conservatives. All political parties are hated equally and supported equally, its just a matter of who can bullsh*t their way into power. Today government is so corrupt that its impossible to make any moves legally. But that is a whole different topic.

Hope this answers your question. =)

In America, the word liberal has become interchangeable with the word socialist, because of the actions of the Democratic party and many of it's supporters.

Classical liberals or what the Liberals in America used to be, emphasized free private enterprise, individual property rights, laissez-faire economic policy, freedom of contract, and they opposed the welfare state. Classical liberals support equality before the law, and hold that economic inequality, arising from competition in the free market, does not justify wealth redistribution by governments.

Social liberals or the liberals of America today, advocate a greater degree of government influence to protect individual rights (in a broad sense), often in the form of anti-discrimination laws. Social liberals support universal education, and many also support the provision of welfare, including benefits for the unemployed, housing for the homeless, and medical care for the sick, all supported by progressive taxation.

These are not hard line standards in which liberals fit into one category or another, but generally speaking most liberals in America today are Social Liberals or Socialist. They have swung so far to the left that they are destroying our country from the inside and they don't even realize it. If they were left to their own devices, America would resemble Cuba, only larger. This is why many independent and conservative Americans get worked up. I believe the reason many liberals have become this way is complacency and it will destroy us, because socialism has never worked. Show me a country that is as prosperous and has as many rights as we do in America and maybe I will reconsider my stance on this subject. We must strive for human rights and freedoms, but not at the expense of our right to free private enterprise. There has to be a balance. Look at Hillary and here nationalized health care plan, for example. Yes, I agree it would be nice, but where is the cash for this coming from? Do you think the Democrats in government are going to cut spending? Ha! Taxes on big business will go up again and the only way to do this is to hand over more power or rights to the government. Before long, the government is in control of everything. What about the rights of the business owner to make a living and not be taxed in an effort at supporting the rest of the country. The chance at succeeding and making it, is what makes America great. When you constantly tax businesses, to pay for social policies which are not rights, you destroy that, bit by bit. Health care is not an undeniable right that everyone in this country is entitled to.

Just so you know, I am an Independent and not a lib basher. I can see why they catch so much crap, though. When conservatives are in the wrong, I would be just as hard on them. What it comes down to, is that their needs to be a balance and when it swings to far either way, it is bound to hurt us.

EDIT:

Vote Ron Paul if you want to save the country! He seems to be the only one advocating actual change to rid our government of the corruption and get us back on track.

Theres 2 sides to that coin.......

I've seen conservatives on here attacked just as much if not more than Liberals(with hateful speech)

Also you stated that All Liberals want to follow the Law......
In the case of Illegal Immigration....Your statement is an Outright Lie.
Most Liberals want Amnesty and Open-Borders, yet we are not only a soveriegn nation but one of Laws.......

You don't get to pick which laws to obey......Your supposed to obey them all..........

It's just a cultural thing. May come as a shock to the "liberals control the media" crowd, but in US culture right now "liberal=bad".

The hilarious thing is, the US public in general is "liberal", they're just too obtuse to realize it. (If you don't believe me, take a look at what the proper definition of "liberal" is)

Liberals DO NOT want those things you wrote about; they are all about control. Control of your money, your free speech, your health, your behavior, i.e. smoking, eating, etc.
Liberalism is a mental disorder, so says a talk show host, it seems to have some consensus in some recent psychological circles.
