They are indeed carnivores.
Owls are nocturnal birds of prey or raptors. Like the unrelated daytime hawks and falcons, owls have sharped hooked beak and strong feet armed with sharp talons. The beak is used to tear flesh and the feet and talons are used to catch and kill their prey.
Owls prey on variety of animals. Small species, such as elf owl feeds primarily on insects and other invertebrates. Although other small species, such as the pygmy owl will also include rodents and small birds in thier diet.
The most powerful owls are the eagle, great horned and the snowy owl as well as the powerful owl of Australia. These owls prey on a variety of animals. For the eagle and great horned owl, prey includes rodents, rabbits, hares, skunks, weasels, other birds, including other owls and birds of prey, and insects. The snowy owl preys on lemmings, voles, arctic hares, ptarmigans, and even arctic foxes.
The fishing owl, which is the nocturnal counterpart of the osprey, feeds primarily on fish and other aquatic life. Unlike other owls, they lack the silent flight, since their underwater prey can't hear them coming anyway.
So to answer your question, all owls are carnivorous, whether they eat insects, fish, rodents, or birds.

Carnivores. We raised a great horned owl when I worked in the Parks. It was great teaching it how to catch mice. We released it at the end of summer when the area was closed. The next year he would hang around the living area but never came down to ride on our shoulders like he did that first year.

Owls are carnivores that hunt during the night (they are nocturnal). They use their keen sense of sight to find prey in the dark (owls see mostly in black and white). They have an acute sense of hearing which also helps in finding meals. Owls are stealth hunters, they can easily sneak up on their prey since their fluffy feathers give them almost silent flight.
That should help with your hw :)

indeed, they are just like eagles. owls and eagles are very similar(especially their eyes) except owls are nocturnality.
whenever you see birds that have a hook-tipped beak and sharp curved talons, they are carnivores. Aqua-type carnivores are a bit different.
