In my opinion, sex IS an important component of a long- term relationship, not the most important thing, however.

Well, possibly because it is! Sex is necessary for a species to survive, so an interest in it is quite logical and healthy. That doesn't mean it is the most important thing in life or that you can't live without it, but for most people it is a pleasurable action that makes life happier.

It is one way couple can express their love for one another in a physical way. It is not the most important thing in a relationship. I have told my partner many times that if we never have sex again, I would still love him and still be very happy to be with him.

The best part of sex, and the important part, is the bonding that people get from it. If my partner and I are getting on each others' nerves, or we are getting apart a little bit, sex brings us right back together.
And my favorite part is lying together afterwards, when you're totally together.

Physicality in a relationship takes it to a different level. It can be a way of expressing feelings to one another. Sex is the utmost in intimacy and it can bring both people close together.

MEN think sex is important! women could live without it! just ask them! and tell them to be honest! 95% would say it isn't and only 5 % saying yes it is! it is only needed to produce children!
