The U.S. Goverment has given there employees a 6% cost of living raise because of raising inflation and only a 2.3 % cost of living raise to all our senior citizens. Something is wrong with this picture?
Senior citizens have to buy gas, food and products
just like everyone else. Plus now every one of them have to pay for health Insurance.

Because they can. Here in Sacramento they just gave themselves a 6 percent raise. However the Governor did not take it, nor did about 10 others. The rest all took theirs. They do not care about the common man. Just how much money can they make.
Yes, it is pretty poor that the ones that need it the most, do not get it. Do not want to get on my soapbox here, so will stop now.

Woa! I hadn't heard that. Seems like a good question to ask
our senators and congressmen and women too. Of course,
they don't have to worry about where their next meal is coming from since they have such nice fat paychecks to look
forward to. You can be sure that you'll never see them standing in line for free food boxes, like some retirees have
to just to make it through a month. You can be sure I'm going
to write some people in my district to see what kind of an
explanation they can come up with. Besides passing the
buck on that. I'll have to ask my sister if she feels any richer
next year when she gets her increase, for she works for a
federal court house. And she doesn't have near the worries
I have financially. And she's still working as well. Now I'll
definately have something to talk to her about, when she
says she's broke. She doesn't know the half of it!

Because they are more important than we are and
they do important things and
we do not and we're going to
die soon anyhow, so why bother with us. the less we have the sooner we die and
then we won't be such a
"burden" on them.
MOE; THANKS for telling me that my Gov. didn't take the
pay hike. I was thinking he is
very ratty, maybe I will ease
up on him from now on.
I'd like to know who else turned it down.

Seniors are the burr under politicians saddle. they will never have to draw social security, never have to pay for insurance, never have to worry about the things they have forced on the American people, and think we are all to stupid to know the difference.

Some more of the Republican philosophy: Don't you know that if you hadn't been so lazy you could have saved enough for your retirement! (That is my sarcasm) It is also what I continually read on this site.
